Le Musée Bourdelle

Cartier  Foundation


Opened in Paris since 1994, the Cartier's fiundation  is located in a building designed by the architect Jean Nouvel, all made of transparency and reflections. In this unique setting come to life creations, exhibitions and meetings.

At the same time a creative space for artists and a meeting point between art and the public, the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art aims to promote contemporary art and disseminate knowledge.

Montparnasse Cemetary

Invalides


This monument (free access), whose golden dome is a landmark in Paris was built in the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV. The goal at the time was to create a "royal hotel able to receive and accommodate all the wounded officers and soldiers and to ensure sufficient funds for subsistence and maintenance ", hence the name Royal Hotel des Invalides.

Behind the rhetoric, however hiding another truth: the King, amateur of wars, could not bear the vision of crippled around the capital, which affected his reputation. Great strategist, Invalides allowed him to hide these "miserable" while providing the shelter and food.</p>n<p>Though imposing, architecturally the Invalides are simple, consisting of a large main courtyard of rectilinear buildings and a church. Soldiers housing are now usedby various museums around the courtyard (The Army Museum, divided into several theme rooms - paying Museum).

Military School


In 1751, Louis XV ordered to his main architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel the construction of the Military School in Paris With the main objectives to train students to become officers. Today, cadets are always formed with experienced officers in on of the most important monument in Paris.

The Saint-Louis Chaptel, the Gabriel  rotunda Gabrie, the stables with more thatn 80 horses and its Library of more thatn 100 000 volumes of the College of Higher Education of the Army (CESAT) are the cornerstones of the school.

Luxembourg Gardens


The Luxembourg Gardens are private gardens open to the public, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Established in 1612 on Marie de Medici's request in order to accompany the Palace Luxembourg. It has been restored by the architect Jean-François-Thérèse Chalgrin under the First Empire, and now belongs to the domain of the house of the Senate.

It covers 23 hectares (21 open to the public) decorated with flowerbeds and sculptures. Appointment of choice for Parisians, it also attracts visitors from around the world.
